On Wednesday, January 24th, 2024 (Buda Kliwon Gumbreg), the owner and extended family of Puri Gangga Resort gathered for the sacred odalan ceremony. This biannual event took place at the resort’s temple in Sebatu Village, Tegallalang, and involved not only the owner’s extended family but also the dedicated staff and astute management of the resort.
The ceremony, which holds great significance and reverence, was meticulously prepared for over three days, as highlighted by Putu Surya from Gangga Experience, the management operator.
The enthusiasm among all levels of employees was evident, with their devoted involvement in the preparatory rituals. Interestingly, this ritualistic celebration drew the interest of select guests, including Virender Singh, who expressed profound joy. Mr. Singh, impressed by the rich tapestry of Balinese culture blended into Puri Gangga Resort, shared his delight.
Beyond its ceremonial nature, this Odalan serves as an expression of gratitude to the Creator, Ida Sang HyangWidhiWasa, for the blessings bestowed upon all staff. These individuals play a crucial role in the Tri Hita Karana concept, emphasizing relationships with nature, humans, and the Supreme Creator (God Almighty).
Beyond being a ceremonial event, this odalan serves as an expression of gratitude to the Creator, Ida Sang HyangWidhiWasa, for the various blessings and virtues bestowed upon all staff, who are integral to the Tri Hita Karana concept:
